Last day before Christmas !

My last day at Arohanui before Christmas and what fun I have had....lots of jobs to do and I have helped loads....tidying is fun!! I found some pretty home made glasses,don't I look a cutie pie 😇

I was sitting in the front of the van for my outing looking very pleased with myself...... And what a beautiful smile I have!!

Tasting lemonade

Today the cooking group was making home made lemonade. I helped Nickys group so she let me pour the spare lemonade into my drink bottle. It was delicious!! Lucky I am such a helpful lady. 😊

Fashion show at Arohanui.....

I really enjoyed showing everyone my poncho I made in upcycling with Dee. I was super excited as my mum, sister and nephew came to watch me on the cat walk........... I was rocking it.

Halloween party

I had an awesome time at our Halloween disco! I helped to organise it with my friend mark. We came up with a cool photo booth, I made decorations and a Halloween sign. I loved dancing in my crazy costume. 

Dog bowl

I made a really cool bowl with dog bones on the outside, i put a lovely shiney glaze on the outside, it looks so good! 

Colouring in

I had a fun time colouring in the adult colouring books at the centre, they have lots of cool patterns and designs. I expect ally like the mazes and puzzles. 

Pottery

My pottery came back from being fired looking lovely and shiney,I'm going to wrap them up and take them home...my cat will love the purr miaow dish.

A sign for my room

I worked really hard sponge painting ink to small panels of wood. I am making a cool sign for my room, I had fun pressing the sponge into the paint and pressing it down, mixing colours was fun too. 

A work of art

I worked really hard in arts and crafts to make a cool glitter picture using lots of beautiful pastel glitter. I had so much fun sprinkling it all around. I am very pleased with how it turned out and couldn't wait to take it home to show mum. 

Painting my dish and Deer

I was very busy in pottery painting my dish with a sponge tool and brushing paint into my Deer. I did such a good job. 

Mucky Clay Day

I had fun getting messy in pottery.We mixed the dry clay with water to make slip.Janna and I liked the feel of the slip and painted it onto our hands....then onto Nicky's too......I called us mucky pups !!

Sponge painting

I was a really good girl during mixed media art and I sponge painted cool flower stencils into a large painting of the water, I used pretty purple paints. I was such a good girl, especially how I painted infront  of my friends! 

Agapanthus

Look at my art !! I worked so hard to make the pretty agapanthus flowers . First I practiced with the stencil on some paper...I liked doing the sponge painting so much I was really keen to keen to do more on our big painting. Wow !! How clever am I ?!!

Artist at work

I have been hard at work doing my painting. This time I tried painting using a sponge, that was fun and I could put the paint where ever I wanted to on my painting by pressing down into the paint and then onto my paper. It as so much fun and I spent the whole session working on my picture.

Clay art studio

Today I went for a nice visit to the clay art studio at the historic village. I liked looking at the fish tiles and seeing the nice mosaics on the wall. I talked about animals I could make with Nicky the pottery room. 

Helping with a smile

I really like helping when I am asked, here I am cleaning all the tables making sure they are all clean and then I will check to see if our washing is dry in the dryer and I will bring that out as well. If we all help then the jobs gets done quicker.

Computer class

I was having fun on fun Friday in computer class!   I made shapes and colours with my friends.

Pretty in purple

It's Friday and I am sorting through all the magazines before the weekend and I look pretty in purple with my new haircut. I showed everyone yesterday and flicked my hair for everyone to see. 🤗❣

Dress up time

I had fun today, I found the dress up box and I found all the dress up clothes that I liked and I put them on, I look really cool don't I. 😊

Yum, a special treat

Yum yum yum, I went for a walk today and I was so good that I got to have special treat, my favourite, a ice cream in a special little cup, boy did I enjoy it, I made sure that I got every little bit out, YUM 😊

Music and dance

We had music and dance and I joined in and we had lots of fun playing with the parachute and our long material rope, we had a lot of fu

A very helpful young lady.

I helped to recycle a broken clay pot by crunching it up into small pieces and mixing it with water to soften it up. I then went into the gallery and helped arrange the lovely vases. I am such a big help! 

Yum cooking time

Yum it's cooking time with Donna and she made bread casings with yummy egg mixture in them. We had some egg mixture over so Donna cooked it and we had a little bit each, yum yum yum it was nice, I didn't leave any 😃😃

Visit to the incubator

We went to the incubator down at the historic village and it was cool, we saw lots of different artwork and we took lots of photos. I really like my photos 🌞🌞

Sorting bead time

I am very busy sorting my beads, it's a full time job sometimes, especially when I drop them on the floor, wow they can go a long way.⭐️⭐️

Ice cream time

Yum yum yum look what I got when I was out for a walk, gee this is so yummy, I am trying to get the last little bit out 👌👌👌

Creating awesome words

When we came back from our outing we got the letter jigsaw puzzle and we created some awesome words and I even spelt my name, cool aye 👌

Mossops honey.

I went on a very nice trip with the ladies to see Mossops honey in Tauriko. We looked at the hives behind the glass, we tasted the yummy honey and we tried the lovely hand creams and beauty products. What a lovely outing! 

Helping out my friends

I am helping Heidi to put her painting shirt on because I like to help my friends when I can and I know Heidi definitely needed help.😃😃😉

Making hummus!

I made hummus in cooking using lemons and garlic. I also toasted some bagels in the oven to make crispy crackers. I took them home as a snack. Yum yum. 

Abba disco

We had a abba disco last Friday and i dressed up, don't I look cool, I found the wig and the lei and thought it looked good 😊

Making my own nest.

During lunchtime I decided to build myself a cool little nest and "princess bed" in the sensory room. I thought it was pretty cool, when my friends came into the room I pretended to snore and was trying very hard not to giggle and smile. I loved making my friends giggle. 

Cooking session

I have been helping Nicky cook a mushroom omelette, it was fun and I get to take some home.

Pottery

Today I finished my Orange cat,Butterball Brown and the 2 Fishes.I wrapped him up in the bubble wrap and then decided to have some fun and wrap Nicky up too , I giggled lots and so did my friends in the pottery !!!!

Seeing Alissa's Doll collection

Last week I was very excited to go to my friend Alissa's house to see her treasured dolls collection! I got to see so many interesting dolls, they all had names and stories and accessories. My favourite part was getting to put a doll onto a toilet that was able to flush, I helped it wash it hands and it even had a towel to dry its hands after. I giggled really hard when ever I pushed the lever. I loved exploring the beautiful gardens at Alissa's house and her Mum Wendy gave me a yummy ice block to cool off. What an awesome adventure! 

Pottery

Here's my picture of Butterball Brown.....we're going to make a big vase in the shape of a cat like Butterball licking his paw.

Sensory

In my sensory session we had an underwater theme. I helped lay out the ocean blanket and grabbed all the sea creatures out of the box and put them in the water. 

Helping my friends

I had a really awesome sensory session today, I helped my staff by getting out the cool things in the cupboard. I also helped my friend Casey Rose to feel comfortable and relaxed. I set out blankets and toys and giggled when she lay on the floor. I was really proud of myself when I saw how happy she was. I am working hard at being such an awesome role model.
